Dry Bones of a Ghost Town

I've been traveling through some rough patches of pioneer country in Utah and Idaho. I have a new respect and admiration for those tough, courageous souls seeking a better country.

When I returned to my lush green garden and yard it looked bawdy and almost indecently flamboyant compared to the delicate and fragile beauty of desert wildflowers. Our Pacific Northwest blinks and shouts its selfie - a green springtime braggadocio - embarrassingly unapologetic for the abundant rain that causes it.
