Do It For Jamie

 For Jamie

Somewhere in Sweden

Richard is planting nut trees

 he grew from seed.

He won’t see the harvest

during his lifetime.

Gabe is planting the good

life in soil he built up into

a microworld of biodiversity

from North Dakota dirt

dead from years of abuse.

He turned his farm around.

I recently saw a woman

sitting in her garden

 listening to

Andrea Bocelli’s

Si album -

humming yes,

along with the bees

 and the flowers

and the blue, blue sky.

I know a young woman

who just had a sweet baby man child -

this morning - after much travail.

 Jamie is his name.

Jamie was born into a world

where people are being regenerative,

instead of merely sustainable.

They are providing life,

 planting fruit,

and creating beauty

 for the next generation.

 For him.

Beneficials:

 Attract them, invite them,

feed them, protect them.

They pollinate the goodness

surrounding us.

Be one yourself. Be a beneficial pollinator.

Life will end when they are gone.

Do it for Jamie.
