Old Wound

Blood colored tears

(call it amber if you want
to stay cushioned from seeing
pain's trail)

drip down
sticky with memories
along
her rough barked skin
where season by season
she
valiantly
 tries to cover the
wounded place
where the

pound
pound
pounding

happened

Hi Kathleen
have tried to figure out what that huge tear drop is, give up so give me a clue, is it a frozen flower bud? Lovely picture but you know my curious nature.

It is sap that has been slowly dripping from the trees where we had our swing eleven years ago.

Wow -- especially your explanation about the swing.

Beautiful.

Calvary still runs red.

I feel redemption here.

Kathleen ... I've spent lovely hours trying to photograph sap ... it's not easy and you did a great job and the words that go with the images are wonderful, too.

A new twist on an old fascination of mine. So, did you touch the amber tears? I always have to.

Blessings.

I couldn't resist touching them.
