Spongy

I say I do,
then promptly proceed
to do nothing
for the rest of our lives
except soak up
every ounce of love
and affection you give.

Full and heavy
like a sponge -
  someone please -
 squeeze me,
wring me out hard,
so I will be useful
and absorbent
again.

Lovely, not too long (as we discussed!) and thought-provoking! I could take this every day!! :-)

a lot can be soaked up with the love
and wrung out
washed down the drain
but that love
clings
to the
sides

always
love
clings

(been missing you!)
